Our partner and friend left us prematurely with his legacy of commitment to community service, excellence in the legal profession and compassion for family and persons from all walks of life. His obituary published in The Roanoke Times on January 31, 2008, is reprinted below with permission. We hope to honor him by trying to follow his example in the days ahead.
