The Virginia State Bar (VSB) was created in 1938 by the General Assembly
as an administrative agency of the Supreme Court of Virginia. The
mission of the Virginia State Bar, as an administrative agency of
the Supreme Court of Virginia, is (1) to regulate the legal profession
of Virginia; (2) to advance the availability and quality of legal
services provided to the people of Virginia; and (3) to assist in
improving the legal profession and the judicial system.

For 35 years, VADA has been a valuable source of educational opportunities,
information sharing, and networking for Virginia attorneys who are
dedicated to the defense of civil actions and the promotion of fairness
and integrity in civil justice.
Virginia Trial Lawyer Association http://www.vtla.com
The Virginia Trial Lawyers Association (VTLA) is a voluntary statewide
bar association formed in 1960 to promote professionalism and competency
within the trial bar. VTLA has several thousand attorney members across
the state who litigate in a variety of areas, including administrative,
family, criminal, Workers' Compensation, and personal injury law.
VTLA also has law student and paralegal/support staff members across
the state.

The Roanoke Bar Association was established to provide a forum for the
promotion of professional excellence among members of the Bar in the
Roanoke area and to foster the development of community relationships
between the citizens and the membership. Our ongoing mission is to provide
innovative and educational opportunities for the members and to expand
public awareness through the creation of long-term, professional relationships
based upon integrity, fairness, and respect.
